Online dating can be fun as you try to imagine what your prospective date is really like.Although these days of course there are web cams and mics but they still do not really replace face to face contact. You probably have an image in your mind of what the other person is like, what the first date will be,where it will be,and as the time approaches for that date it can start to become a little stressful.
Will your date like the person they meet, will you be a disappointment to them (maybe you were not entirely truthful on line),will there be a second date, pressures may start to build.Do not go overboard and try to be someone that you are not,be confident, but be yourself.
It is best not to put too much pressure on your date with too many expectations, just try to make your date a fun ,relaxed time, and just enjoy each others company. After all it is just the first date, but it will set up the possibility of many to come.
Confidence is required, but not brashness. You may not think you are sexy ,or look like a movie star, but be confident and let your true self shine through. Easier said than done.It may pay to ask your date about themselves and divert attention away from yourself, avoiding to answer too many questions that may make you feel uncomfortable.
A good idea is to start a conversation about a topic that you have a common interest in,which will make it much easier for the chat to flow, and enable you both to be more relaxed. That may also lead to a possible destination for a future date, that you both would be keen on.Remember that you are a special person and deserve happiness as much as the next person,so do not sell yourself short.Be positive and you will find that special someone.
